A brave deed always evokes respect. The Indian have always proved true to the concept of bravery preached and practiced by their ancestors. Many have lost their lives in defending the honour of the Motherland.

This book includes the brave deeds of 21 recipients of Param Vir Chakra and 81 recipients of Ashoka Chakra. It also includes a chapter 'The Glorious Saga of the Indian Armed Forces' which briefly describes the major operations conducted by the Indian Armed Forces since independence.
