The book mainly focuses on the emerging educational issues of the North East. Focussing on the North East, it has been observed that in spite of rich natural resources and substantial capital investments through centrally sponsored schemes, the GDP is still low in terms of development. This could be due to lack of quality human capital. The papers presented during the seminar examined the status of education in the region so as to enable the administrative authorities to develop human resource of higher calibre by providing quality education to the people. This in turn will operate to bring about development.
