This volume of Dalit Studies, is a collection writings on Scheduled Castes, i.e. ex-untouchables of India. This is the first of its kind with more than 4000 entries and above hundred years of time span. The volume consists of published books and monographs, articles published in journals and periodicals and unpublished dissertations and these and rare Christian missionary tracts on the subject. This volume also includes an appendix containing brief notes on the major Dalilt communities in India. It is hoped that this volume will help the researchers and social scientists as a reference book.
