The book presents a semiotic interpretation of the religious discourse of the fifteenth century Punjab. It is based on the verses of Baba Nanak as compiled in the Adi Granth. These compositions are highly charged metaphysical articulations, enunciating the Cosmic Vision of Baba Nanak in crystallised, rhythmic verses. The present text is an attempt at constituting the universe of signification that the discourse of the Guru presents in specific conceptual constructs.
