Synopsis The present book is the culmination of the Problems faced during literacy campaign in Delhi.  The prime objective of the book is to find out the reasons/factors of joining of volunteer instructors in the programme as well as their dropping out from the programe.  This book is one of the pioneering attempt of its nature dealing with the literacy programme in urban area.  It is expected that the book is going to facilitate the policy makers and other functionaries of the literacy programme.
