Synopsis The present book on "Prolegomena to the Universe of Knowledge" is written keeping in view the difficulties generally students of MLIS face in the paper of the universe of knowledge and those who feel that the paper on the universe of knowledge is quite tough, hard and less securing in their examination conducted by various Indian universities either as a regular student or students persuing MLIS through correspondence/distance education. In the present book an effort is made to interweave each concept systematically, philosophically and scientifically in a very simple and lucid style. There are many books available in the market authored by very learned scholars and we do not claim that our book is the best as UK is an ocean of knowledge and no one can claim to be the master of all concepts or chapters dealt in the book. But whatever problems and difficulties we had faced during our student life we had tried to solve them as authors. We assure our readers that this book if studied systematically and scientifically, might fetch them very good marks in their examinations leading to MLIS degree. It covers the syllabi of all the important Indian universities teaching this subject to their students.
