Synopsis The serial publication Recent Advances in Fish Ecology, Limnology and Eco-conservation was brought out for the first time in 1988 under the aegis of The Professor S.M. Das School of Zoological Studies, Lucknow to felicitate Professor S.M. Das, Scientist Emeritus, Lucknow on Completion of his fifty years of teaching and active researches in the field of fish ecology, limnology and eco-conservation at the Universities of Lucknow, Kashmir and Kumaun. The present volume is the fifth in the series and contains twenty original research papers contributed by specialists in the fields of fish ecology, limnology and eco-conservation. The volume has been compiled to commemorate the 90 birthday of Professor S.M. Das.
