Synopsis Educational Planning as a subject of study both for academics and administrators of education is used as a part of management. Education Planning and Management go together. That is the reason why the subject is offered as an independent paper of study in the Faculty of Education. The NPE has devoted a separate chapter on Educational Management indicating the departure from using the term administration. The author has consulted the syllabi of M.A. Education, Economics and M.Ed. in formulating the structure of the book. It contains two parts, Part I deals with Planning and Part II with Management. It is written basically to serve as a textbook for P.G. students. Some portions of Management are given in appendices to meet the requirements of B.Ed. course.
