Synopsis The authors have made an extensive study of urban land uses of metropolitan Bhopal. The study examines various categories of land uses as they exist today and suggests a plan of development for future. The Indian city, however, has its own peculiar structure which cannot be tested on theories evolved for western cities. The book is a significant contribution in the field of urban geography, particularly in urban land use studies and city planning.
