About the author

Dr Balvinder Singh is an eminent conservation spatial planner who believes that the sacred places and the artwork embedded have high relevance for humanity and could serve as guiding light for the future generations; hence these should be cared and preserved. He is former Head and Professor at Guru Ramdas School of Planning, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He is an advisor to Indian Heritage Cities Network-Foundation (IHCN-F), an initiative of UNESCO, and a member of Heritage Advisory Committee, Shimla.
