This book mainly focuses on the critique of economic capitalism in the Roman Empire from the socio-rhetorical reading with the post-colonial lens. While dealing with the economic issues in Revelation 18,the research focuses not only of the economic, but also the socio political dimensions that shaped theRoman Economy. Reading the book of Revelation from the apocalyptic eye and studying from the lens ofsocio-rhetorical approach gives us an insight and deeper understanding of the milieu of the context ofRevelation vis-à-vis unjust Roman economy.
