Synopsis The book contains sixteen technical papers and observations of the eminent experts of the field. All issues related to the Land Utilization in the Central Himalaya are covered by the authors. The papers are classified in three sections, namely, issues related to land resources; land use planning; and management options for sustainable land utilization. It is hoped that this book would serve as a guideline to policy-makers and other interest groups working in the Himalayan region.
