Synopsis In the book, Ibn Rushd has attempted to discuss the problem of relation between Religion, science and Philosophy from Shariah point of view of Islam. The author has proved on basis of sound and substantial arguments that religion and philosophy (science included,) are complementary to each other and philosophy is the forest sister of religion of Islam. Ibn Rushd bring an important jurist of Islam himself has proved judgment about the affinity of philosophy and science to Islam. The positive attitude of Islamic Shariah towards philosophy and science cannot be elucidated in any better way than that of Ibn Rushd, as he has done in this important classical Islamic treatise.
