The book "Text Book of Veterinary Nutrition and Dietetics" has been organized in 16 chapters comprising introduction, anatomical and functional digestive systems, phases of life cycle of animals and feeding, critical stages in life for feedings, foods of animals, animal feeding systems, enzymes in nutrition, hormones in nutrition, impact of nutritional errors on animals, veterinary nutrition, stress factors and veterinary nutrition, environmental pollution and nutrition, veterinary therapeutic dietetics, feeding of abandoned, orphaned and rejected neonates, management of protein-energy deficiency disorders and nutritional epidemiology. In the present syllabus of veterinary science degree course for the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) the veterinary nutrition is the parts of courses on clinical aspects in later years. The teaching of this course extends from first year to final year. At post graduate level clinical nutrition is the part of syllabus for the Master and Doctor of Veterinary Science in Animal Nutrition. Organizing almost all aspects of clinical nutrition in one comprehensive book the learning and teaching have been made easy.
