Chapter third ‘Grammar describe the structural content of language teaching like verb, tense system, articles, nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, preposition, syntax and pedagogic example etc. Chapter fourth deals with ‘Phonetics and Phonology’ in languages teaching. Chapter fifth ‘Language Learning’ provides various definitions of language. It explains interrelationship between learning and teaching. Chapter sixth ‘First language acquisition’ describes theories of first language acquisition like behaviouristic and generative theories. It also explains about various issues in first language acquisition like, competence, and performance, comprehension Vs. production, the innateness controversy, linguistic universal, languages and thought etc. The last chapter seven constitutes ‘Comparing and contrasting first and second language acquisition’. It explains the role of various domains in language acquisition like physical, cognitive, effective and linguistic domains. This book will serve the significant role in the field of language teaching and literature and will be useful for language teachers as well as the students who offer the subject like literature and language teaching.
