Synopsis These seventeen short stories are reflective of the times we are living in. Some could be termed surreal, but strange are today’s settings when there’s little distinction between fact and fiction. Others have been conceived by everyday realities intruding into emotions. Conception- whether of ideas or that of the human form- is of the greatest consequence. In the words of the author: "And I strongly believe that where and how one is conceived is of great significance and holds sway all through one’s life. My parents never told me the details of my conception, nor could I have asked, for to talk or query abut sexual happenings was taboo. Though I had a secure childhood it never really prepared me for the insecurities that were destined to come along." "I’d naively thought that those happy days would continue forever! And couldn’t ever visualize that communally charged politics would hold sway, damaging relationships and denting everyday living.
