Synopsis This book titled “Indian Ecotourism: Environmental Rules & Regulations” covers the Indian environmental regime in detail. The first chapter deals with the EPA and EP Rules as umbrella national environmental regime. It is followed with regime for water, coast, ocean, noise and air in subsequent chapters. The next chapter deals with national EIA regulations, as environmental impact assessment is key to any big environmental or industrial project, including ecotourism one. Lastly, this volume culminates with draft national biodiversity bill as covenant to CBD at global level. Thus reflects upon Indian strengths and weaknesses as far as implementation of environmental standards are concerned compared to international ones.
