Synopsis This is yet another autobiography of Amrita Pritam, after Rasidi Ticket, published way back in the 1970s. Not only does it capture her entire lifespan in its fold, but its warp and weft entails an entirely novel depiction on a spiritual plane. Given her innate belief that since childhood all the chapters and experiences of her life have been created and lived under some shadow or another—death cast its shadows right at the time of her birth. Thereafter, the shadows of weapons, words, dreams, shadows of authoritarian powers and shadows of contemplation. These reflections reflect her intense desire to present to the readers an incisive insight into her new inner world. Viewed from various angles, it happens to be a distinctly adventurous autobiography, which like a serialised photographic frame keeps enhancing those images.
