Synopsis There is a growing Consciousness among governments social organizations and individuals to give more attention to a section of the society which suffers from physical as well as mental handicaps. Social reformers, educationists and government administrators are moved by the agony of these children who either cannot see or hear or who cannot express themselves due to physical or mental disabilities. With the modern clinical developments coupled with technological advances and psychological developments, it has now become possible to overcome physical as well as mental disabilities. This faith has given rise to several methods of teaching children with mental or physical disabilities.
