The work will not only be extremely useful but will also shed light to those interested in the subject. Most of the Sikhs in India live in the Panjab. Before 1947, the State of Panjab or the land of five rivers was bounded and watered by Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas, and Sutlej, but now only three rivers (Ravi, Beas and Sutlej) flow through the Indian Panjab. Panjabis comprise less than two and a half per cent of India’s population.
