Synopsis The years 2002-2003 being the century year of Jaya Prakash Narayan have witnessed valuable additions to J.P.’s biographical sketches, ideological and critical monographs as well the enlightened readers. J.P.did not write or just the sake of writing but for solving practical problems of social, political and cultural transformation. Human life is not like a watertight compartment. So also J.P.’s ideas are multi-disciplinary and integralist in character. Like Gandhi’s experiment with truth, J.P.’s quest for societal truth was the mission of his life. He never aspired for perfection but he had never fatique to see face to face truth.
