Synopsis There have been great advances in child psychology in the world in the last twentieth century. Piaget is credited with making deep insights into the cognitive development of a child. Piaget certainly has developed on the theme propounded by Rousseau and Pestalozzi. The main sociological theme has, however, been to develop human race. More and more efforts have been made to make the discipline of child psychology objective.
