Synopsis Newly created state of Uttaranchal is a storehouse of important medicinal plants. It is endowed with the vast biodiversity. The use of wild plants for the health management is not new for the people of Uttaranchal but they have been using them from the time immemorial. The present volume deals with the medicinal trees, shrubs and climbers found in wild, in Kumaon area of Uttaranchal. The species are classified according to the scientific system of classification. The purpose of this book is to make identification easy, for which the book contains numerous coloured, photographs, apart from scientific name, English name, local names, botanical description etc.
