Synopsis Women are shining in all walks of life and all areas in career and profession. In fact, they prevail everywhere. Education is one field, where, the womenfolk have been in a greater number, from the very beginning. Still, as far as rate of literacy and education is concerned, the Indian women do not match the figure, their counterparts--men, hold. There is a great need to educate women in a larger number and make them literature with a higher percentage. And for that, an awakening among females is necessary. They should be aware of the real state of affairs and on the other hand, the educationists and social activists should also know the real problems and great hindrances, coming in the way of women's emancipation in the field of education.
