Synopsis This book has been written to provide a general introduction to ergonomics and is suitable to students’ interest, professionals and for research. This book fills a critical gap between existing ergonomic books, which are either very narrow in their treatment of the subject matter or very technical for undergraduate students. An attempt has been made to describe the essentials of ergonomics at a common level across the disciplines in order to avoid implying that one area is more important or relevant that the others. A truly ergonomic approach to design accommodates students’ requirement at all levels.
