Synopsis The present title "Biology of Reptiles" has been designed to approach the morphology, anatomy, physiology and development of reptiles in a coherent way since it is most natural for a student in studying the architectural elements of an animal body in the quest to know how they function. This text intends, therefore, to enable the student, through his own natural appetency, to correlate form and function so that he possesses for subsequent work in either anatomy or physiology a firm foundation for a real edifice of knowledge. The present work features a text reference and a laboratory guide. It deals with the structures and physiological phenomena of each system. Snakes, living reptiles, dinosaurs and other general topics are also dealt in details. It is hoped that this book will not only meet the requirement of Indian students but will also be useful as a guideline to the teachers in their teaching.
