Synopsis Human development has two sides: the formation of human capabilities such as improved health, knowledge and skills-and the use people make of their acquired capabilities for leisure, productive purpose or being active in cultural, social and political affairs. An attempt has been made in this book to analyse main indicators of economic development indices. Factors such as natural resources, the rate of capital formation, capital output ratio, technological progress, dynamic entrepreneurship, rate of growth of population, socio overheads like education and agricultural development would provide important insights to the study of economic development and human development in particular.
