Synopsis In this book, an attempt has been made to study various issues and aspects related to Harijans and weaker sections at macro as well as micro level. It has been sought to examine factors responsible for discrimination, intolerance and untouchability and also study the role of Indian constitution for upliftment of Harijans. An attempt has also been made to evaluate Harijan welfare programmes being implemented by the government.
