Synopsis Learning can be defined as 'the ability to modify behaviour as a result of experience'. This ability allows us to adapt to changing environmental conditions. Everyone is involved in the learning process for at least a quarter of his life; some are much more than that. Understanding the basic concepts of learning and how the brain actually functions leads to better performance both as a teacher and as a student.
