Synopsis Developments in Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) have opened up new approaches and avenues for social and economic development. International development initiatives have began to harness the power of ICTs to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of development work. The landscape of ICTs is changing for both urban and rural masses. There is a need to ensure that ICTs are tailored to foster development in various areas, women empowerment, education and so on.
