Synopsis The present book offers verdant insights into some of the major novels of the postcolonial era. Most of the novels analysed in this volume focus on the protagonist’s quest for identity through an awareness of the self. They deal with man’s quest for his identity on the sociological as well as on the sociological as well as on the philosophical plane.
