Synopsis The women in fisheries activities carried out so far has had significant importance and has brought about greater awareness. There is now an opportunity to heighten this awareness through exchange of information, sharing of knowledge and results in the compile form relevant to different countries in Asian, especially for India. The present book on “Women Empowerment in Fisheries” is the step towards identification of key issues affecting women in the Indian fisheries sector.
