Synopsis A Retrospective study of the labour movement has come to be recognized as a necessary and even vital part of Research in human relations. It has always played a major social role; it is always played a major social role; it is a nation’s backbone. It is a force which has to be reckoned with both by employers and the State. Throughout the globe, the rise of labour movements has generally followed in the wake of speedy and large scale industrialization and India has been no exception to this rule.
