Synopsis The present title “Research Techniques in Biological Sciences” is intended to provide most of the basic techniques required by the students, in one cover. It will be one of the few books available so far that gives practical laboratory methodology. The methods are dealt completely in a step by step format that will allow the laboratory workers to perform any procedure without reference to secondary sources. The text has been written on the basis of original research papers and specialized books. There are more than two hundred methods each specifically detailed for microbiological or biochemical procedures to enable the students, researchers or technicians without the need of library research to analyse a biological preparation. Efforts have been made to describe the methods which are scattered throughout the scientific literature, in this one compilation.
