Synopsis The Communist Party of India' was founded on 17th October, 1920, in the city of Tashkent, capital of present Republic of Uzbekistan. A group of young men in India inspired by the ideals of the Russian Revolution of 1917 started grouping their way towards a Marxist policy and Programme. This was the beginning of an effort that culminated in the formation of the Communist Party of India. This set of two volumes, narrate the political genesis of the C.P.I., its complete organization, constitution, resolution, manifestos, the shoulder to shoulder fight along with other freedom fighters for country's freedom. These volumes can be considered ocean of information on CPI from its origin in India. These volumes realistically speaking are encyclopaedic in nature and treatment of all aspects of political party till date.
