Synopsis Watershed management is the rational utilization of land and water resources for optimum production with minimum hazard to natural resources. Himachal Pradesh has a mountainous terrain, the run-off is very high and this results in acute water scarcity in the summer months. Soil, water and vegetation are the most vital natural resources for the survival of man and his animals.
