Synopsis South Asia though harbouring a huge population and abundant natural resources is still considered as undeveloped/underdeveloped. On political front, it is much sensitive attracting piercing eyes of world powers. The present work is compiled to analyse India’s foreign policy in the context of south Asia. As such the present endeavour attempts at portraying some crucial issues concerned with the diplomatic relations of Indian with some south Asian countries. Seven articles are compiled here to portray the real scene, namely, India and Bangladehs; Indo-Bangladesh Relations in Mujib Era; Growth of Hostile Relations; Farakka Barrage Dispute; India and Sri Lanka Tamil Liberation Movement; India and Afghanistan; and India and Bhutan. Hopefully, the information gathered herein will prove useful to all those interested in the study.
