Synopsis This set of two volumes, containing 86 papers presented at a national seminar on Horticulture for Sustainable Development and Environment Protection, Jointly organised by the Department of Horticulture, Nagaland university and Department of Horticulture, Government of Nagaland, analyse different dimensions of horticultural development in India, in general, and NEH region, in particular. Focusing on advances in horticultural practices, fruits and ornaments, volume one discusses at length the soil and water management, crop diversification, nutrient and plant bioregulators, pest management, Post-harvest management, productivity and employment generation,. Volume two deals with the production technology, export diversification of production system, product diversification and marketing strategies for vegetables, spices, plantation crops, medical and aromatic plants as well as their produce.
