Synopsis Women’s power was first recognized in India by Mahatma Gandhi, during the course of non-cooperation movement and several Satyagrahas. He very apty translated women’s capability of tolerance and their nature of sustained efforts into an agitational prowess. Over the years, the women power in India has flourished and grown to new strengths. Women power has a special significance in the context of 21st century.
