Synopsis The Gazetteer presents detailed account of the land and people of the district of Shahabad. Tracing its history, it discusses at length its physical aspects, population, public health, agriculture, forests, irrigation, natural calamities, rents, wages and prices, occupations, means communication, land revenue, administration, education and local self-government. Railway stations, post and telegraph offices, principal roads and bungalows, and polymetrical table of distances have also been appended.
