Synopsis Various agencies including the National Council of Educational Research and Training in India in collaboration with the British Council in India have joined hands for preparing effective methods of teaching English. In view of the International Stature acquired by the English language there is more and more emphasis on learning English and as such it has become highly important that effective methods of teaching English are devised by various agencies for developing reading projects and for using language laboratories for teaching English.
