The development of the communication arts and the consequent germination of public relations as a social technique have been unique phenomena of the last century. For last century has seen the perfecting of the art of mass communication, with a variety of intricate and highly refined media and techniques employed to convey information, entertainment, and education to a large, heterogeneous group known as the public.
