Synopsis It has been a proven historical fact that ‘Pakistan’ emerged on the scene of world-nations as a result of ‘two-nation’ theory of M.A. Jinnah. And since the day of Partition, Pakistan has remained hostile and inimical towards India. Besides Pakistan’s aggression on Kashmir, Indo-Pak war in 1965 and 1971 and recent Pakistani invasion on Kargil, Pakistan has been in perennial proxy war with India through cross-border terrorism. India’s fine gesture and efforts for ameliorating bilateral relations have proven futile so far. Pakistan decries Simla Pact, Lahore declaration etc. and has been continuously harbouring and penetrating terrorist activities against India. Friendly mutual relations are necessary for peaceful co-existence. Following this dictum India’s prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee invited Pakistan’s Military ruler Pervez Musarraf for talks—widely known a Agra Summit. Despite a ‘right step in right direction’, unfortunately, this much publicised Summit also ended inconclusive. This work, in two volume, contains day-to-day account of the Summit which will prove a reference document of this historic event for researchers and policy planners.
