Synopsis After taking over as the Prime Minister of free India, Nehru’s inbuilt passion for masses was baptized in policy action. Nehru had a strong feeling that India’s political freedom would be incomplete without economic freedom. After the transfer of Power as the Chairman of the Planning Commission it was he who gave dynamism and power to the various plans which are now being implemented.
