Synopsis A group of twenty Bengali tales written by Upendrakishore, the grandfather of Satyajit Ray. The adventure of the taunting tailor bird, the wily jackal and the stupid tiger, the ill-fated crocodile and other assorted animal stories are very much in the folk-tale tradition, where the wily defeat the strong and the bully gets his comeuppance.
