Synopsis This is an attempt to present Dr. Ambedkar’s sociological thoughts in various forms. Like any other great thinker, he has been acclaimed as social reformer, scholar, politician, philosopher, constitutionalist, economist, all the more an emancipator as well as a liberator of the oppressed people from slavery, serfdom, untouchability, tyranny, economic exploitation, religious obscurantism and social injustice or inequality. Dr. Ambedkar relentlessly fought for the cause of the depressed and deprived lot of the Indian society, and this is what brings him to develop his philosophy of sociology which centres round the problems of man without meddling in the vortex of metaphysical exercises.
