SECTION 11-The Moghul school of painting derives its origin from the Persian-Mongol school and dates from the reign of Babur (d. 1530), the first Moghul ruler in India. Thirty paintings presented in this volume are the works of some of Akbar's hundred court-painters, namely, Alam, Farrukh Beg, Manohar and Balchand etc, of the School of Jahangir.
