Synopsis The book attempts to provide an updated and comprehensive account of the Indian Agricultrue. Two approaches have been adopted to analyse data and informations: (i) changes during the planning period for Indian agriculture and (ii) state-wise change. An outstanding feature of the book is that it analyses most of the agricultural problems of India in theoretical framework with system approach. It adopt inter-state comparative approach and discusses interaction between agriculture and economic development. The book is divided into 14 chapters, dealing with all the crucial and chronic problems of the Indian agriculture. An attempt has also been made to provide adequate information on each aspect with proper theoretical analysis which makes it different from any book on Indian agriculture.
