Synopsis Stalin's book "Marxism and the National and Colonial Question" is a key book which deals with important questions of Marxist theory. The book includes a selection of articles which deal with the national question in the February and October Revolution of 1917, in the immediate years after the seizure of power and the background to the formation of the USSR as a voluntary federation of nations based upon the right to secession.
