Synopsis Education is an effective means for social reconstruction and to a great extent it offers solutions to the problems a society is faced with. Since the teachers play a major role in education of children, their own education becomes a matter of vital concern. As an integral component of the educational system, teacher education is intimately connected with society and is conditioned by the ethos, culture and character of a nation.
